The library is small, but on every wall there are floor-to-ceiling shelves. A table sits in the corner, with an old journal resting on it. A cardboard cutout advertisement is just beyond the libririan’s desk. The advert is of a curly-haired man wearing a detective’s badge holding a gun between his two fingers like it was smelly garbage, his arm outstreched. Stacks of books with the curly-haired detective on the cover sit in a booth next to the advert. The title reads
