The perimeter
The perimeter surrounds the entirety of the habitable areas of town. It is a road with a chain link fence on its inner side and in key areas a second outer wall made of steel welded together. The common areas of attack have been reinforced with the outer wall, and it is a continual project to expand the outer wall, adding a beefier wall between attackers and the residents. Approximately 60% of the perimeter has been reinforced with outer wall, and plans are under way to continue expansion. It requires electricity t weld and raw materials like sheet metal or spare parts made from sheet metal.
A wooden fence was once attempted but it was quickly devoured by a swarm of termites, and proved futile.
