We first meet Jim in our opening. He is a side character answering the radio at sancturay’s HQ when Rebecca calls. He seems to be very relaxed, and he has reason to be. He is, or was, a very wealthy young man. Jim invented a fashionable jacket that took the fashion world by storm making him a fortune before he turned 20.
He used his fortune to create a fashion company that became a sensation. In his twenties he spent his energy creating designs and eventually grew tired of the work. He settled down in the middle of nowhere USA, to enjoy his fortune and get away from the fashion world. He purchased a large chunk of land, that later became part of Sanctuary.
He is a simple man with simple needs and does not enjoy drama. His fortune, a thing of the past secured his initial survival and entry into the group. Money is worthless, he now serves the community by operating the HQ radio system which was donated to the sanctuary by him, cannibalized from his home security system.
